crevette au beurre d’ail | butter garlic prawns

Let’s whip some delicious french cuisine with me. Today we will try crevette au beurre d’ail/butter garlic prawns.

About Prawns/shrimps

Prawns are a very famous seafood, also known as ‘shrimp.’ They have a very thin exoskeleton, which is generally removed while cleaning. A prawn body is divided into three segments: the head, thorax, and abdomen. Normally we remove the head and exoskeleton while eating. But in some parts of the world, people prefer to cook it along with heads. It is found in both cold water & warm water and can also be farmed. Mostly the Cold water varieties tend to be smaller. One can find thousands of different varieties of prawns, but in France, the UK & other European countries, you are most likely to see tiger prawns, king, North Atlantic prawns, etc.
