Death by chocolate Cake styling and photography

About background and props to style a Death by chocolate Cake

The props which I have used for the photoshoots are the background and the main ingredients used in the cakes.

The background was the same rugged sheet I used for the other food photography shoots. The other props are chocolates, choco chips, and sprinkles. As its name only spells “death by chocolate cake”, one can get a fair idea that it is just overloaded with lots and lots of chocolate and chocolate chips. Sorry, calorie-conscious people, this cake is higher on the calorie count. But … sometimes you can console your guilt and give it a try on your cheat days ;). I am not bragging, but the flavor of this cake is ecstatic.

About the light and camera

I shot it in the evening time. This time I have not used natural light but overhead lamps for its shoot. I used my mobile Redmi note 8 with a 48 MP AI camera for its shoot.

About Shooting angles

 I have taken both the top-angled pic and a pic from a slanting angle covering the whole background. The first pic, which was clicked at a slanting angle, was to cover the whole background, and this angle made the pic more lively. The other pic was shot over the top angle, and it was clicked to show the whole cake and the detailing
