
About: Pizza is a savory dish of Italian origin consisting of a usually round, flattened base of leavened (with yeast) dough( refined flour/ wheat flour or combination of two) topped with a layer of pizza sauce, cheese, and different toppings ( veg/non-veg or a combination) which is then baked at a high temperature, traditionally in a wood-fired oven. It is served both as Starter & main course. And today we will try this delicious Chicken veggies pizza

In the time of the pandemic, when the new normal is eat- work -sleep, and repeat 😁 And nowadays as we are mostly avoiding outside food, but…what to do with these untimely pizza cravings of kids and family🤔. No worries…Momma is here 😎👩🍳.
So here’s Mumma’s special chicken veggies pizza with a homemade pizza base😋

Ingredients for dough
- Refined flour- 2 cups
- yeast- 1 tsp
- sugar – 1 tsp
- salt- 1 tsp
- oil- 1 tbsp or approx for brushing
For Toppings
- Pizza sauce – 2 tbsp or as per your requirement
- Cheese spread( we want more cheesy😉)- 2 tbsp
- Veggies toppings ( Capsicum, Onion, Tomatoes)- approx 1 cup
- Non-veg toppings ( Spicy Chicken minced) – 1/2 cup
- Mozerella cheese- approx 1 cup or as required.
Method
- Take a half cup of lukewarm water. now add 1 tsp of yeast and 1 tsp of sugar. stir well. let it sit for 10 min.
- After 10 min, the yeast mixture will become frothy. This means the yeast is ready to be mixed.( if it didn’t turn frothy, stop there only. It will not make a nice dough for the pizza base)
- Now sieve 2 cups of refined flour and add the yeast mixture and 1 tsp oil.
- make a dough and knead it for 10 minutes.
- cover with plastic wrap and let it sit for 1-2 hours till the dough rises to double its size
- Now, punch back the dough and knead again. Make 2-3 balls from that dough, cover them, and let it rise again for 30 min
- Now your dough is ready. Keep it on the dish in which you want to bake pizza. Flatten it with your fingers and form a 1/2- 1/4 inch thick disc. make a dent on all sides to get a thicker edge and shallow base.
- Now spread your Cheese spread and pizza sauce on the base.
- Sprinkle-grated mozzarella cheese topped with the topping of your choice. ( I have used a mix of veggies and spicy minced chicken)
